Data loss prevention and disaster recovery
Using the data redundancy solutions offered by Azure, the Maritech cloud is configured to create regular, periodic backup of all data in our cloud infrastructure.
For relational databases, Maritech cloud uses Azure SQL Databases, a managed service from Azure and the Maritech tenant is configured to create differential backups daily, which are preserved for restoration for up to 35 days after the backup is made. We also use the Geo-Redundant Storage (GRSi) for Azure SQL Databases. The logical database server, database files, and transaction log files are unavailable to any Maritech admin user by design, as is the case with the Azure SQL database service. Consequently, the risk that a ransomware attack or other malicious cybersecurity attack crippling our operations is mitigated.
For block storage, we use the Geo-Zone Redundant Storage (GZRSii) solutions for the Azure Storage Accounts. These accounts are also configured to use the soft delete feature which delays permanent deletion of data for a specific duration after a deletion operation has been initiated and completed by an administrator.
Penetration Testing
We periodically engage Mnemonic, an industry leading cybersecurity firm, to rigorously test our software, guaranteeing that it meets the highest security standards.
