Seaborn

Customer case – Maritech Analytics

Facts instead of assumptions

“Maritech Analytics provides us with better insights and understanding of our data”, says Merete Lunde, Supply Chain Manager, Seaborn.

Seaborn is a leading exporter in the fishery export and seafood export market, specializing in salmon and trout. They have used Maritech Analytics as a strategic decision-making tool since 2019. The analytics platform excels in the assessment and management of seafood safety and quality by gathering and visualizing data from all relevant sources. This enables Seaborn to improve processes, profitability, and reduce time spent on searching for data and preparing reports.

“For us, it was a natural choice to implement Maritech Analytics,” says Merete Lunde, Supply Chain Manager, Seaborn.

Lunde emphasizes the visualization of their complex data as one of the most valuable benefits of the solution.

The Power BI functionality provides us with actionable insight and broader understanding of our data. We can easily analyze both the current situation and visualize future changes,” says Lunde.

“Instead of gathering data, we now spend more time on analyzing. This improves our decision making-processes, especially in the fishery export and seafood export sectors. By focusing on the assessment and management of seafood safety and quality, we ensure that our operations meet the highest standards.”

KPIs and dashboards

With Maritechs Analytics, Seaborn turns data into insights with customizable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for reporting that helps them move from reactive to proactive decision-making in real-time. Seafood exporter Seaborn can access data from many sources in one portal, and use dashboards to share insights and performance across the organization.

Lunde says that the Analytics tool and close cooperation with Maritech’s Data Science team has changed Seaborn’s routines and workday.

“The dashboard provides all departments with today’s status and focus. This means that we can be one step ahead instead of spending time on fighting fires. And our meetings are now to a greater extent based on facts instead of presumptions, significantly aiding in the assessment and management of seafood safety and quality as a seafood exporter.”
