Through several projects, we have built a strong partnership with The Kingfish Company, working closely together to enhance their operations. Their journey with Maritech began in 2022, when they implemented Purchase & Sales, Maritech Packing, EasyGrade, and EasyPack. Now, in 2024, they have successfully launched their own processing facility powered by Maritech Control & Insight (Linsight MES), a major project integrating all factory equipment with Maritech Purchase & Sales and Maritech Packing, ensuring a fully connected and optimized production environment.

How The Kingfish Company uses Maritech Cloud

As The Kingfish Company scaled its business, they needed a fully integrated and scalable solution to optimize workflows and manage real-time data. With Maritech Purchase & Sales, Packing and Control & Insight, they have streamlined operations, ensuring seamless integration and improved efficiency.

On a daily basis, my colleagues and I use Purchase & Sales a lot—it’s a system that is on our desktop all day long. I can run reports, see how much I need, and what I need. Based on that, I create a harvest plan for processing and also for harvesting for the production team.”

Optimizing Seafood Processing with Linsight MES

The goal of our most recent project together, related to Control & Insight (LINSiGHT MES) production plant monitoring, was to provide a comprehensive overview of the facility and leverage decision support from Control & Insight in the planning and control of daily production.

“The project started by leveraging our previous facility with Maritech, determining the scope of this new project—how many hours we were going to spend, what we wanted to get out of it, and what we could afford. We had to engage with multiple suppliers, as we have various suppliers providing equipment to this plant, including cooling facilities, HVAC, grading, and more. All these needed to be integrated into one single platform—which Maritech supplied with Maritech Control & Insight (Linsight).” Christiaan de Wet, Head of Design and Engineering.

Improved Efficiency Through Seamless Integration

Control & Insight now uses sales orders received in Purchase & Sales as a basis to daily provide production suggestions. These suggestions include identifying the most suitable production tanks for harvesting fish for the day’s production. All the information gathered by the Control & Insight platform from the production process is presented in real-time reports within the factory and is accessible to the management.

We didn’t need to push them to have these discussions; they happened organically, often without our direct involvement—but always with the right targets in mind.”
